Job Summary:
We require our Shift Managers/Supervisors to be enthusiastically passionate about delivering outstanding fast Guest service while sincerely caring about the people they oversee.  Our business and our Guests are both very diverse which creates an exciting atmosphere.  He or she must be very detail oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize. The Shift Manager/Supervisor will oversee a team of Associates in a fast-paced environment.  Our Shift Managers/Supervisors are required to adhere to and enforce our strict dress code at all times. Full Time Shift Managers/Supervisors must have open availability.  If hired for this position you must provide proper documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the United States, be willing to undergo a criminal background and employment reference check, pass a drug screening test, and be at least 21 years of age to sell liquor.  A State of New Mexico alcohol server certificate is required for the position, but it can be obtained after being hired.

  • Provide direction to crew in a clear and concise way
  • Conduct coaching's with associates when improvement is needed
  • Set an example for crew by working hard to implement shift plan and ensure swift and smooth service
  • Demonstrate patience and a positive attitude with crew while delegating tasks and giving instructions
  • Work with crew to act on Guest feedback and resolve Guest complaints in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
  • Direct crew to take pride in the details of delivering the “Wow” Guest service
  • Set challenging goals for self and crew during shift and ensure accountability
  • Help to remove performance barriers and provide resources for crew and market to perform well
  • Direct crew members to do what it takes to maintain market cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Take initiative to immediately report violations of safety, sanitation or security policies to management and perform short-term solutions
  • Complete checklists and procedures for cash reporting, inventory control, and scheduling during shift
  • Seek coaching from others to increase understanding of market financial controls
  • Greet every Guest with a smile
  • Assist Guests in purchases
  • Operate cash register
  • Process customer payments
  • Refer to Guests by their first name whenever possible
  • Thank every Guest for their business and invite them back
  • Continually push self and others to obtain speed of service goal
  • Answer telephone
  • Brew coffee and clean the fountain area
  • Stock roller grill and deli bar
  • Check in vendors
  • Build a display for merchandise
  • Stock shelves; dust merchandise; face merchandise
  • Restock cooler doors and freezer
  • Bag ice
  • Clean restrooms
  • Sweep and mop sales area
  • Empty trash containers
  • Wipe down gas and diesel pumps
  • Pick up outside trash and sweep lot
  • Clear walk ways of snow and spread ice melt
  • Attend regularly scheduled team and safety meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear.  Frequently required to use hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with arms and hands.  Regularly required to lift and / or move items up to 25 pounds. Occasionally required to lift and / or move items up to 65 pounds.
 
Vision requirements: 

Close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust to different lighting conditions.
